Coach Sleeper has been in the Lakeville North football program since 2013, coaching as a varsity assistant on 7 state tournament teams and the 2018 state championship team. He has worked primarily as a varsity assistant coaching offensive backs and has also been the head coach and offensive coordinator for the JV team since 2014. 2021 is his first season as the 10A Head Coach. He is also an assistant coach in the boys basketball and baseball programs at LNHS. Coach Sleeper teaches English at Boeckman Middle School in Farmington.
Coach Recchio is entering his second season as an assistant on our football staff, but he has been in the district as the head Panther wrestling coach and an English teacher at Century Middle School since 2014. Coach Recchio has previously coached football at a variety of levels at Tartan High School in Oakdale, MN.
Coach Porter has been on the Panther coaching staff since 2012 and is entering his 8th season on the sophomore staff. A former Panther player and captain himself, he also played collegiately at Gustavus Adolphus College. He has spent time coaching both offensive and defensive line for Lakeville North. Coach Porter is a physical education teacher at Lake Marion Elementary in Lakeville.
Coach Phillips is entering his second season on the Panther coaching staff - having spent last season as the offensive line coach for the freshman team. Coach Phillips brings a wealth of experience as both a player and coach, having played collegiately on the offensive line for coach Jim Harbaugh at Stanford University, starting at offensive guard from 2008-2010 for the Cardinal.
This year will be Coach Cardenas's first season as a coach with the Panthers. He was an all-state linebacker and captain for LNHS ('15) and played collegiately at the University of Northern Iowa. Coach Cardenas was a 3-year varsity starter at linebacker for the Panthers, playing in 3 state tournaments and one state championship game.
Coach Stanton first joined the Panther football coaching staff in 1995 and re-joined again in 1999, coaching the LHS freshman team until Lakeville High School split North & South in 2005. He coached the LSHS varsity defensive backs from 2005-2013 before coming back to coach the Panthers in 2014. After spending 2014-2020 as a varsity assistant coaching the defensive backs, Coach Stanton will work as a floating assistant, helping all levels of Panther football in 2021. He is a teacher currently employed in the ISD 192 district office.
